Before joining Gadsden Job Corps Center as Office Administration instructor, Teresa Cochran held a wide range of office roles with attorneys, accountants, universities and hospitals. She also worked as an insurance sales representative and as a coordinator with the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA). She earned a degree in general business from Missouri Southern State University. Teresa has worked with Job Corps for over 10 years and enjoys making a difference in her students’ lives and helping them prepare for successful careers. 

Kim Thrash - Career Journey - Gadsden Job Corps Center

Kim Thrash

is the Work-Based Learning (WBL) coordinator with Gadsden Job Corps Center. She brings a diverse educational background in areas including dietetics and nutrition, home economics, parenting nutrition, English as a second language, and independent living skills. She also worked as a General Educational Development testing administrator for the GED exam. Kim’s specialties include facilitating orientations for staff and students and instructing WBL courses, as well as small group training and classroom management.

Jennifer has decades of experience as a quality control and laboratory technician, a tractor-trailer driver, and an 18-wheeler driving instructor. In her current role, Jennifer enjoys teaching students how to use warehouse management software, operate industrial equipment and a forklift, and other skills within the industry.

Crystal Dent

joined the Gadsden Job Corps Center team over 15 years ago as the Culinary Arts instructor. She earned a degree in baking, pastries and confectionary arts, and she previously served as an executive pastry and savory chef, catering director, event coordinator, ServSafe instructor and proctor, and American Red Cross instructor. Crystal enjoys teaching her students the newest trends in the hospitality industry and assisting students with personal growth and development. 

Aundralesha Wordlow - Hotel and Lodging - Gadsden Job Corps Center

Aundralesha Wordlow

is the Hotel and Lodging instructor at Gadsden Job Corps Center. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama. Aundralesha enjoys working with youth and serving as a mentor in her role at Job Corps, and she feels that teaching and being in the classroom is a way for her to have a positive influence on students.

Robert Denford - Bricklaying - Woodstock Job Corps Center

Robert Denford

Robert Denford, Brick Masonry instructor at Woodstock Job Corps Center, graduated from the International Masonry Institute Local 1 CT and has worked in the industry for over 20 years. He is a foreman of new construction and restoration and holds multiple certifications, including OSHA 10 and 30, scaffolding user and builder, forklift, and first aid. Robert has loved masonry since he was a child, and now he enjoys passing his knowledge to the next generation of masons.

Gino Gumbs

has 30 years of structural welding and fabrication experience, which he brings to his role as Welding instructor at Woodstock Job Corps Center. Gino worked as an industrial and residential business owner and has experience in several supervisorial roles. He holds certifications from OSHA, American Welding Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineering and more. Gino studied at Milton Peters College and Florida Institute of Technology, and now loves teaching students how to work to the best of their ability.
